State Director for North Carolina
Reginald Speight was raised in Wilson North Carolina where he currently resides. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1985 with a degree in Economics. Reginald has served in numerous senior level management roles in North Carolina to include 20+ years of nonprofit management experience, 15 of those years as Chief Executive Officer. He most recently served approximately nine years in various leadership roles in the Office of Congressman G. K. Butterfield, in North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District. Reginald’s career has been dedicated to the promotion of equity, inclusion, and economic mobility on behalf of the residence of eastern North Carolina. He has served on numerous local, Governor appointed State, and national boards. He is the last of nine children born to the late Henry and Sadie Speight. He is married to Debra Rivera Speight and they have one daughter, Naija Speight.
