Biden-Harris Administration Invests $313 Million to Improve and Expand Rural Electric Infrastructure in Georgia
Hiram, Ga., Jan. 30, 2023 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Under Secretary Xochitl Torres Small today announced electric infrastructure investments in Georgia totaling $313 million to help four Georgia electric cooperatives and utilities expand and modernize the rural electric grid and increase grid security. The announcement was made from GreyStone Power Corporation in Hiram, Georgia where USDA is investing $141,938,000.
