McCllellanville 115kV Transmission Line - Berkeley, Charleston and Georgetown Counties, SC.

Central Electric Power Cooperative, Inc.

RUS issued a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Supplemental Draft EIS) for Central Electric Power Cooperative’s (Central Electric) proposed McClellanville Area 115-kV Transmission Project (Project) in South Carolina. The Agency published in the Federal Register a Notice of Intent and Availability on August 30, 2019 that initially provided a 60-day comment period, ending on the date announced in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (USEPA) EIS receipt notice on October 22, 2019.  RUS has extended the public comment period for the Draft EIS by an additional 30 days to November 21, 2019. 

Public Meetings on the Supplemental Draft EIS were held on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, September 17, 2019, from 5 – 8pm at the Santee St. James Elementary-Middle School, located at 8900 North Highway 17, McClellanville, SC 29458
     
  • Wednesday, September 18, 2019, from 3 – 6pm at the Jamestown Baptist Church Life Center located at 4339 North Highway 17A, Jamestown, SC  29453


Comments on the Supplemental Draft EIS are due on November 21, 2019.
