Janice A. Blare
Acting State Director for Wyoming
Janice Blare is the current Acting State Director for Wyoming. She has nearly 33 years of federal government experience including 30 years with Rural Development, 3 years with the Federal Aviation Administration and 1 year with Information Technology Services. During her career, she has held the positions of Deputy State Director, Associate Director, Branch Chief, Assistant to the State Director, Management Control Officer, Computer Specialist and State Office Clerk, among others. For several years, she served as Wyoming RD’s Public Information Officer, Congressional Coordinator and Appeals Coordinator.
Janice strives to make sound administrative decisions, achieve employee improvement, and implement cost reduction principals. She thoroughly enjoys her position with Rural Development and takes pride that she is part of a team that assists in meeting the needs of residents in rural communities.
Ms. Blare was born in New York and has lived in Wyoming since 1980 where she raised 3 wonderful sons. She has also lived in Connecticut, Alaska and Colorado. Her hobbies include camping, boating, travelling and spending time with family.
